Fusing a Scandinavian sensibility with rich Peruvian and Portuguese artisan traditions, the home goods brand uses sustainable cotton and wool, including baby alpaca wool, and weaving textiles that are made to last. Employing artisan weavers and family-owned mills in Peru and Portugal, the brand is fair trade, exchanging skills and knowledge in addition to the product itself.
Founder Johanna Howard, a native of Sweden, began her career in fashion design but quickly transitioned to home goods when she moved to the U.S. A family business, her namesake brand uses family as its north star, creating products that bring forth love in people and their homes. Using bold color as a key theme in her work, Johnanna believes that it lifts mood and calms spirits.
